Clear funding arrangements. No surprises.
At Coast and Country Compensation Lawyers, eligible matters are conducted on a no win, no fee basis.
That means if your claim is unsuccessful, you do not pay our professional legal fees.
What Does “No Win, No Fee” Mean?
A no win, no fee arrangement is a conditional costs agreement. Our fees are payable only if your claim is successful.
If your matter does not result in compensation, you will not be charged our professional fees for the work performed.
Before we act, we provide a written costs agreement setting out:
- How our fees are calculated
- What counts as a successful outcome
- Any potential disbursements
- Your rights and obligations
We explain this clearly before you make any decision.
Are There Any Costs at All?
There are two types of costs in most compensation matters:
1. Professional fees – the legal fees for our work
2. Disbursements – external expenses such as medical reports, expert opinions or court filing fees
In most cases, disbursements are funded as the matter progresses and are only recovered if your claim succeeds.
If your claim is unsuccessful, we will explain in advance what, if any, external costs may arise. We do not leave clients guessing.
What If the Claim Is Successful?
If your claim succeeds:
- Our professional fees are payable from the compensation recovered
- Disbursements are reimbursed
- You receive the balance of your settlement or judgment
We provide a clear breakdown of how funds are distributed before any money is finalised.
Why It Matters
Compensation claims can take time and require expert evidence. Many people hesitate to seek advice because they are concerned about legal costs.
A no win, no fee arrangement allows you to pursue your rights without paying upfront legal fees.
We assess every matter carefully before accepting it. If we agree to act, it is because we believe there is a viable legal pathway.
Small enough to know your story. Capable enough to stand firm when it counts.
